Casting Technology of Alloy Steel Castings

 

1.Pouring: the difference between this method and casting is that the finished product is released from the mold, while the mold is part of the product itself.

 

2.Inlay casting: a variety of non-plastic parts are placed in the mold cavity and solidified with the injected liquid material so that they are encapsulated.

 

3.Pressure-casting: when casting materials apply certain pressure, is conducive to the injection of viscous materials into the mold, and shorten the filling time, mainly used in epoxy resin casting.

 

4.Rotary casting: after the material is injected into the mold, the mold rotates around the uniaxial or multi-axis at a lower speed, and the material is distributed in the inner wall of the mold cavity by gravity, which is fixed by heating and solidifying.Used to make hollow products such as spherical, tubular, etc.

 

5.Centrifugal casting: the quantitative liquid material is injected into the mold which rotates around the single axis at high speed and can be heated. The material is distributed to the inner wall of the mold by centrifugal force and solidified into tubular or hollow tube by physical or chemical action.Monomer casting nylon parts can also be centrifugal casting molding.

 

Design requirements of alloy steel castings

 

1.Meet the strength and stiffness requirements.It is an important problem to satisfy the strength of the box parts.

 

2.The structure design is reasonable.For example, the arrangement of fulcrum, the arrangement of reinforcement, the position of opening and the design of connecting structure are all helpful to improve the strength and rigidity of the box.

 

3.Good workmanship.Including blank manufacturing, mechanical processing and heat treatment, assembly adjustment, installation and fixing, hoisting and transportation, maintenance and repair, and other aspects of the process.
